Common Errors (verb)

Incorrect- He has given his examination.
Correct- He has appeared at his examination.

Incorrect- Tell me what is your name.
Correct- Tell me what your name is.

Incorrect- I wish I was a king.
Correct- I wish I were a king.

Incorrect- Each of them were awarded.
Correct- Each of them was awarded.

Incorrect- Either you or I are guilty.
Correct- Either you or I am guilty.

Incorrect- It is you who is guilty.
Correct- It is you who are guilty.

Incorrect- He said that he can help me.
Correct- He said that he could help me.

Incorrect-My tooth is paining.
Correct- My tooth is aching.
